Most people don't realize how much work and actual high tech stuff there is that goes into farming these days. For instance, Bryan was telling me about some the features of this new combine! It has comforts such as CD player and air conditioning, but it also has a GPS tracking device on board, and using that along with it's on board sensors and stuff it will generate reports that allows the farmer to actually track crop yield for part of the field, give moisture reports for any given part of the field, and so on. It's really amazing just how much detail about every square foot of the crop! This combine is so much more than just a clunky farm machine.

There was also a second smaller combine out there working the field. And there was a tender unit. Because timing of the harvest is more critical than most of us realize, these two combines were working together in the field, and the tender would drive up along side one of the combines and take it's load. Then the tender would return and fill one of the waiting semi's as the combines continued in the field.  In some ways, as the machines were running and performing, it felt like being at an air show!

I want to personally thank Bryan Droscha for his educating me on this fascinating stuff!

The Tim and Deb Radio Show

This show has been on several different radio stations during it's 15+ years of existence. On August 3, 2005, Tim and Deb were split apart by forces not of their own. The intention of this web site is not to impugn or support any radio station, but merely to continue to be a window into the radio worlds of Tim Barron and Debra Hart. I will continue to document them separately, until such a day that they may reunite. Will it happen? Stay tuned to find out!
